About IT System Administrator and DevOps Engineer

Distalmotion is  looking for an expert and committed IT System Administrator / DevOps Engineer to oversee, develop and maintain our company’s IT systems.

To be successful, you are very knowledgeable in IT cloud infrastructure, cyber security, application administration, CI/CD and can manage and ensure the efficient operation of our Information Systems.

Tasks:

  • Manage and ensure the efficient operation of our servers, hardware, and software systems, including extensive oversight of our cloud infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to our IT systems, including network configurations and cloud resources.

  • Provide prompt and effective second and third level support to employees, addressing and resolving technical issues to enhance productivity.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to design, deploy and upgrade cloud solutions that meet the company’s operational needs.

  • Develop and execute strategies to improve the scalability and efficiency of cloud infrastructure.

  • Monitor cloud expenses and optimize costs without compromising service integrity.

  • Implement and oversee security protocols for our information systems to safeguard company data.

  • Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations for improvements and ensuring that the company leverages new technology effectively.

  • Update documentation, procedures, and work instructions for IT.

  • Participate in IT related projects as required.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, 5 to 7 years of experience.

  • Proven experience in similar position

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, and Microsoft 365; certification a plus.

  • High proficiency in creating scripts in Python, PowerShell, or other languages to automate repetitive operations.

  • Proven experience in implementing CI/CD (GitLab, Jenkins, …) and IT automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform…).

  • Good knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and network and firewall configuration.

  • Familiar with Database administration (MS-SQL).

  • Familiar with cloud business applications (CRM, ERP), Google Workspace, Box.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize a diverse workload.

  • Flexible, agile mindset, service oriented, customer-focused, results-focused.

  • Eager to join a fast-growing company.

  • Fluent in English and good level of French is mandatory; German is plus.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
