AKYmed has been selected as a finalist of the NewTechAqua Award challenge. 

The main goal of the NewTechAqua project is to expand and diversify European aquaculture production of finfish, molluscs and microalgae by developing and validating technologically-advances, resilient and sustainable applications.

AKYmed has been selected as a finalist, for its new products branch dedicated to the conservation and promotion of genetic diversity in animal breeding: Noah Genetics. The company aims to reach these goals (conservation & promotion) through the joint use of cryopreservation of gametes & Next Generation Sequencing based breeding. We believe that the joint use of these technologies can help refine production in that industry, improve fish health, and eventually contribute to a more sustainable aquaculture.
