Sr Investigator

We are looking for an experienced scientist to be responsible for the design, execution and analysis of in vitro assays to support our drug development platform. Being an experienced highly collaborative team player, you will be contributing to an exciting pipeline of bispecific and trispecific antibody therapeutics, being developed using IGI' proprietary BEAT platform to treat hematological and solid malignancies. This job position will be located at our discovery site in Epalinges, Switzerland. Strong organization, communication and time management skills are a must to deliver in a fast paced 'can do' environment.

  • Lead, develop, perform and analyze immuno-oncology assays for the characterization of novel biological candidates including, but not limited to, primary human cell-based assays, multicolor flow cytometry and multiplex cytokine profiling (MSD, Luminex).

  • Perform cell culture, including primary human cultures, as well as development and maintenance of cell lines.

  • Review relevant scientific literature, experimental design, troubleshooting, analysis and interpretation of data.

  • Perform data analysis and report data in laboratory notebooks in a timely manner.

  • Presentation of results in English in regular team and cross-functional meetings.

  • Contribute to inter-disciplinary research efforts in a cross-functional setting.

  • Assist with general laboratory duties including lab equipment maintenance & cleaning, ordering and receiving of lab supplies.

  • Comply with all safety HSE guidelines.

  • Perform other relevant responsibilities as required.



Qualifications:


PhD or Master's degree in immunology, oncology, cellular biology or related life sciences.

  • Solid and demonstrable bench level experience in the development, validation and implementation of immunological assays.

  • Hands-on expertise in methodologies, reagents and instruments used for primary cell cultures, flow cytometry (mandatory), ELISA and cytokine analyses.

  • Experience with handling primary cells in BSL-2 level facilities, isolation of immune cells from human biological samples (PBMC) is mandatory.

  • Practical knowledge in data analysis using standard software (e.g. Excel, Graphpad, JMP, Flow cytometry dedicated software).

  • Experience in oncology, antibody discovery and pharmaceutical industry is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is required.

  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent lab management skills and mentoring skills.
